I’m interested in the use of EEG to investigate relationships between cognitive, motor, and affective problems in children with neurodevelopmental disorders to guide assessment and intervention. My present work focuses on the relationship between anxiety and standing balance control. Specifically, I will compare a brain response elicited by a sudden balance disturbance to an anxiety-related brain response elicited by mistakes in a simple cognitive task in children with and without anxiety disorders, and in response to an anxiety-related intervention.
